beth & dan

Beth & Dan had a gorgeous September wedding in Minneapolis, MN.  We worked with the couple in the months leading up to their big day to put together a fabulous vendor team to ensure everything was flawless.  From photos & the ceremony at St. Stephen's Church in Edina, to a cocktail hour, celebratory dinner & dancing at the Depot, it really was a prefect day.  Please enjoy the below photos courtesy of Jaimee Morse Photography.

peter & omar

We cannot begin to describe what a perfect day it was in early October for Peter & Omar's wedding at Everwood Farmstead in Wisconsin.  We worked with the grooms to put together a french-farm inspired brunch wedding.  Guests arrived an hour before the ceremony to enjoy mimosas, coffee, pastries and the grounds of Everwood Farmstead.  After an hour of mingling, everyone moved to the barn for a beautiful ceremony full of poetry, song and the beautiful words exchanged between Peter & Omar.

Immediately following the ceremony, servers brought each guest table a charcuterie board, along with artisanal breads and all the fixings (including hand-rolled butter!!).  The charcuterie boards offered meats, cheeses, jams and fruits sourced from the grooms' favorite spots in Minneapolis.  Following that, the guests enjoyed quiche with a green salad - along with hot apple cider, rose and Wisconsin's own Spotted Cow.  After eating - there was more eating!  There were an unreal selection of pies from Key's Cafe, complimented by ice cream from Sonny's Ice Cream truck.  Sonny's offered to do ice cream tastings from their cart (or full cones!) and had everything from Maple to Goat Cheese flavored ice cream.

Full and happy, the guests continued to enjoy the grounds of Everwood - playing lawn games, walking the trails and sitting on picnic blankets and enjoying the day.  No detail was forgotten by the owners of Everwood Farmstead - they have an amazing space for events and are so generous to share it with us.

Thank you to our amazing vendor partners for putting together this beautiful day, and especially Peter & Omar for including us - we were so honored to be part of the day.  Enjoy the photo gallery!

heather & dana

Heather & Dana got married in early September on a beautiful Saturday at Como Zoo & Conservatory.  This wedding was FUN.  The couple opted to do an early evening ceremony, followed by a cocktail party with drinks & appetizers and forgo a formal dinner - this allowed for a bigger crowd to attend the celebration!  And did they celebrate - Heather & Dana had a penguin brought in from the Como Zoo to entertain the guests, in addition to arcade games and a gold Delorean!  The brides musically talented brothers sang, played the mandolin and DJ'd throughout the evening.  Finally, be sure to check out the last photo - it was one of our favorite moments of the day.  After some very thoughtful vows, Heather & Dana went in for a kiss - they forgot they were supposed to wait until the officiant pronounced them husband & wife!  The attendees got a huge kick out of it & Tom, the officiant, rolled with it - and now we have an awesome photo to share.

A huge thanks to the vendors that helped make this happen - BBE did the flowers (on a budget) and ordered in bulk from Trader Joe's - as you can see, they turned out beautifully!  Check out some more photos from Anna B Photography.

brian & dennis

Brian & Dennis had a gorgeous rooftop wedding, followed by a dinner boat cruise on the Mississippi River.  It ended up being the hottest day of the summer in Minneapolis, but that didn't dampen the spirit of the day.  From amazing live musicians to colorful parasols for the guests to use during the ceremony - Brian & Dennis didn't leave a detail out.  Please enjoy the below photos, courtesy of photographer Kammie Trebesch!

molly & steven

We almost can't put into words how gorgeous Molly & Steven's June wedding in Minneapolis was.  The bride & groom planned the wedding from the East Coast, moved to the West Coast a month before the big day and started renovations on their new house (see the hashtag #renobride to follow it all!).  With all that going on, Molly & Steven put together a wonderful wedding for friends & family that flew in from around the country - the couple even took the time to write individual notes to EVERY GUEST in lieu of placards.  I mean, it doesn't get more sweet than that.  Thanks to Molly & Steven's amazing vendor team - a huge shoutout to Laura Ivanova for sharing her photographs from the big day.  Enjoy!

kristin & steve

Kristin & Steve had a gorgeous April wedding at Semple Mansion.  The food, the weather, the music - everything was perfect!  The day started at 300 Clifton, a beautiful home in Minneapolis where the ladies got ready.  From there, the bride & groom went to the Stone Arch Bridge for photos and then traveled to Semple Mansion for the ceremony and the reception.  After a beautiful ceremony at Semple, officiated by the bride's brother-in-law, guests were treated to drinks and food before heading upstairs to dinner.  Brie catered an amazing meal and R Factor kept the house rocking all night.  HUGE thanks to Jessica Ranae Photography for the below photos - she & her team did an amazing job capturing the day.  Enjoy the below photos and congratulations to Kristin & Steve!

sharing is caring

Beginning this summer, BBE will follow in the footsteps of Repeat Roses and donate all florals that remain at the end of our events to area nursing homes & hospitals.

Our clients will also have the option to donate ALL of their event florals to the cause.  The BBE team will handle collecting & donating the flowers - you just have to say the word.

Using the flowers that brightened the best day of your life to brighten the day of someone in need is a beautiful gesture.  You never know the impact a smile or a peony can have.

chelsea & tyler

Chelsea & Tyler had a beautiful winter wedding at Columbia Manor this past January.  Their wedding day turned out to be the coldest day of the year, but the cold didn't phase anyone.  Chelsea & Tyler, their wedding party and their families shared so much love & fun that it warmed the entire room.  Chelsea's design came across perfectly with the help of some excellent vendors -  a big thanks to Artemisia Flowers for the gorgeous florals, Chowgirls catering for the delicious meal, Amy's Cupcake Shop for the sweets and On Solid Ground for some beautiful vintage rentals.  Lots of photos in this post - Rachel Marie Photographie took an unbelievable amount of gorgeous photos.  Congratulations, Chelsea & Tyler!!

liz & matt

Liz & Matt had a beautiful wedding fall/winter wedding last November in Minneapolis.  The couple & many of their guests came in from Canada, which made this wedding incredibly fun.  Photos and the reception were at Aria, and Liz & Matt had everything for their guests - a putt-putt golf course, candy from Canada, a dessert bar from the States, a great DJ and delicious food.  A huge thanks to the vendors that helped us out that day - Jules & Cait for photography, Instant Request for music, Crave catering, Linen Effects and Field of Flowers.  Enjoy the gorgeous photos below!

wedding trends we love

2016 is upon us and there are so many fun wedding trends - it makes it hard to choose our favorites!  Below are some trends that have caught our eye….

'maids wearing separates: gone are the days of the single-use bridesmaid dress.  trending in bridesmaid fashion are separates, like this gorgeous tulle skirt & delicate lace top from BHLDN.

ghost chairs: ghost chairs are all the rage, and while a little pricey, in our opinion, they worth the cash.  instead of large chairs in a dark color detracting from the beautiful tablescapes you created, ghost chairs allow for your guests to see the tables & florals.

guesterly: you guys, this site is seriously cool.  it allows for all your guests to connect prior to the event, with fun facts and photos of each guest.  guesterly connects through Facebook, so you'll find it incredibly user-friendly in terms of picture & fact uploading.  you can also use guesterly to print programs or other paper goods with fun guest information.  getting the party started weeks in advance?! - we LOVE it.

foil & metallics: it's all over Pinterest, Instagram and Etsy and we're thrilled this trend is continuing into 2016.  gold foil is a wonderful addition to invitations or place cards, and who can resist a sparkly, gold metallic tablecloth for the dessert bar?

non-traditional wedding parties: grandmothers as flower girls?  brothers part of the 'bridal' party and sisters part of the 'groomsmen'?  you could think we're crazy, but we think you should pick people to be part of your special day because YOU LOVE THEM, not because you need an extra bridesmaid or groomsmen.  this trend might be our favorite-favorite.

lumberjack 1st birthday

In December we had the best time celebrating a little lumberjacks 1st birthday!  The party was an open house format, with the event occurring mid-afternoon to early evening - meaning it was the perfect time for everything from charcuterie to chocolate cake.

The little lumberjacks mama is incredibly creative and helped us come up with some really fun ideas to tie the theme together.  From the entire family wearing buffalo plaid, to fun signage & food on point - it was a great day celebrating the little one!  Check out some photos below.

liz & nick

Liz & Nick had a beautiful Hallo-Wedding - the new term for a Halloween wedding!  Saturday, October 31st started with photos by Lake Harriet on a lovely (albeit, chilly!) fall day, followed by an emotional ceremony at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a gorgeous reception at Aria in the North Loop.  Aria was decorated with greens, white pumpkins, candles AND the bride & groom's favorite accessory - a disco ball!  Big thank you to some fabulous vendors - the team at Aria, florals by Field of Flowers, Mike Levad from Twin Birch Studios for photography and Deco Catering.  Check out some photos from the night below!

whitney & mike

Whitney & Mike celebrated their marriage with their friends & family on a beautiful fall day in Minnesota.  Photographer Chelsie Lopez did an amazing job capturing the love throughout the day, beginning with a wedding party and 'best dog' photo shoot in downtown Minneapolis.  From there, the group moved to Gethsemane Episcopal Church in Minneapols for a beautiful ceremony.  Guests then traveled to Day Block Event Center for a night of food (amazing catering from Brasa!), dancing (Instant Request kept the party going all night) and drinks. To top it all off,  Yoyo Donuts and Eileen's Colossal Cookies provided unreal sweets.  Thanks to our amazing vendors for a fun night, and congratulations to Whitney & Mike!

shawn & greg

Shawn & Greg own a beautiful farm near River Falls, Wisconsin and graciously hosted over 300 guests on their property for their gorgeous September wedding.  No detail was forgotten, from the mini farm animals at every seat to the disco ball in the barn for the dance party.  Shawn & Greg's guests came from all over the world to celebrate this union and celebrate they did!

To start the event, guests enjoyed a welcome reception while exploring the farmland.  A heartfelt & joyous outdoor ceremony followed, with beautiful music selections played by a string quartet & two trumpeters!  The ceremony was followed by cocktails and appetizers before moving to the dinner tent for a wonderful meal and speeches from Shawn & Greg's friends and family.  Finally, guests headed to the barn for a dance party hosted by R Factor who rocked the barn all night!  Wishing lanterns, pizza and Fairbault Woolen Mill blankets kept the atmosphere cozy well into the evening.

We are so grateful to Shawn & Greg for allowing us to help plan their magnificent wedding.  Below are some of our favorite photos from the day - a big thanks to Glen Stubbe for the photography, Angel Food Bakery for thirty (yes, THIRTY!) cakes, Apres Party & Tent for the tents, linens, stemware and everything in between, River Valley Catering and R Factor!  Enjoy!

Cati & Mike

We had such a great time working with Cati & Mike - they planned their northern Minnesota wedding while living in Boston - no easy task, but Cati & Mike were up to the challenge!  Friends and family came from Minneapolis, Boston, California and Brazil to celebrate.  It was wonderful to have so many different loved ones meeting in such a special place to Cati & Mike.

Golf, a bridal shower, beach games and BBQs all led up to Cati & Mike's wedding day at Grandview Lodge in Nisswa, MN.  While we dealt with rain for most of the day, the skies parted for a moment of perfect timing, allowing for an outdoor ceremony on Grandview's gorgeous staircase.  After the ceremony, we enjoyed a wonderful reception inside while watching a storm roll across the lake.  A big thanks to Kate from Bloom Designs for beautiful florals, Timeless Moments Photography and Grandview Lodge.  Congratulations, Cati and Mike!!

Monica & Jake

We were so excited to work with Monica & Jake for their spring wedding.  It was such a wonderful day - the girls started at Blast Blow Dry salon in Minneapolis and the entire bridal party met up at McNamara Alumni Center for pictures, the ceremony and reception.  The day was filled with so much love and emotion - we cannot thank our other vendors enough for all their effort in making Monica & Jake's day flawless!  Please check out a few photos and an amazing video by Gilmore Photo & Video.

Maggie & Peter

Maggie & Peter's wedding was a very special day for BBE - the bride is our creative consultant!  Held in San Diego, California at Paradise Point resort, Maggie & Peter had a perfect day.  To celebrate the wonderful weather, the day kicked off with a group heading to the beach to surf & paddle board.  After a little prep time, Maggie & Peter had a beautiful sunset ceremony on the water, followed by a great dinner and dance party at the resort.  We can't thank our vendors in San Diego enough - the day was brilliant.  Check out the pictures, as well as Gilmore Photo & Video's amazing video that captured their day!  Congratulations to Maggie & Peter!

Bill & Chris

Bill & Chris had a truly magical wedding day - as one of their Best People said, guests expected a unicorn to frolic through the reception.  Held at Everwood Farmstead in Glenwood City, WI, Bill & Chris' day had everything - amazing venue, fun food and drinks, fantastic guests and LOTS of love.  In addition to some of the best speeches and vows we've ever heard, we even had a rainbow appear over the tent during dinner - it was really a perfect day.  Check out the pictures that showcase the wonderful work of Joe Dickie and the wedding video by Gilmore Photo & Video.  River Valley Catering worked through a torrential downpour and delivered an amazing meal.  We couldn't have asked for a better vendor team to work with!  Thanks to Bill & Chris for allowing BBE to be part of their best day.
